[題目 (title)]
Real-time estimation of fault geometry to obtain accurate seismic intensity for large earthquake

[要旨 (Abstract)]
Nowadays the Earthquake Early Warning system can determine the magnitude and hypocenter location from P-arrival data in few seconds. The initial source model is assumed be the point source model which cause the predicted seismic intensity show isotropic shape. We propose a method to estimate the surface projecttion of a fault in real-time by extending the method of Yamada et al. (2007) and real-time seismic intensity data of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. We use a relationship between the seismic intensity and fault distance, and then determine the most suitable parameters of fault dimension by grid search. Using Tohoku earthquake dataset, we parameterize the fault geometry with epicenter, fault length, fault width, strike, and relativey location of the fault against the epicenter.

[題目 (title)]
Preliminary Approach to the Study of Crustal Deformation in Myanmar by using GNSS Data

[要旨 (Abstract)]
In Myanmar, earthquakes are mainly caused by the tectonic movements related to the subduction of the Indian plate beneath the Burma Plate along the Andaman Islands and Rakhine-Chin-Naga Ranges. The Indian Plate collides with Eurasia Plate at the rate of 50 mm/yr (GIAC, 2002), while the relative motion between India and Sunda plates is 36 mm/yr and the rate of subduction of Indian plate under Burma plate is about 12 - 24 mm/yr (Mallick et al.,2019). The Benioff zone dips in varying degree in each segment of the subduction system. Another major active geological structure that generates the major earthquakes in Myanmar is Sagaing Fault which is a right lateral strike slip fault and its slip rate is 18 - 20 mm/yr. Many large earthquakes have struck from this fault and those earthquakes claimed hundreds of casualties and several damages in Myanmar. Previous studies mention that there may be some locking segments of Sagaing Fault and the western part of the Myanmar where subduction occurs between India and Burma plates. Therefore, we installed GPS network to understand slip budget available along convergence between the Indian and Burma Plates and the Sagaing Fault in Myanmar.
