科目:応用地球電磁気ゼミナール(修士・博士)
日時:6月17日14:00~
場所:宇治キャンパス 防災研究所 本館 E-232D

発表者: Sabri Bulent Tank (Bogazici University, Turkey)
タイトル: Illuminating the crustal electrical conductivity structure in Cappadocia Volcanic Province, Central Anatolia, Turkey by three-dimensional magnetotellurics

要旨:
The electrical conductivity structure in Cappadocia Volcanic Province(CVP), Central Anatolia, Turkey, was investigated by means of magnetotellurics and three-dimensional numerical modeling as part of an U.S. NSF funded multidisciplinary project, titled Continental Dynamics/Central Anatolian Tectonics (CD-CAT). This presentation includes three distinct experiments targeting to resolve the crustal electrical structure of (i) a migmatite-cored, isolated metamorphic core complex known as the Niğde Massif and two Quaternary stratovolcanoes located at the southwest and northeast ends of CVP, (ii) Mt.Hasan and (iii) Mt.Erciyes, respectively. While in the Niğde Massif experiment, the aim was to establish a possible relationship between the massif and an adjacent wrench zone (the Ecemiş Fault) through a process known as yo-yo tectonics, the two stratovolcanoes were studied for understanding their hydrothermal potentials as well as for seeking correlations between their electrical properties and magmatism types.

※時間に余裕があれば、長町・利府のMTの結果についても紹介いただけるとのことです。
